Hazelnuts have a slightly sweet and, unsurprisingly, nutty flavour. The crunchy texture makes them a welcome ingredient in bread, biscuits, cakes, and as a tastier substitute for almonds in biscotti. Their subtle sweetness also allows you to be able to reduce the sugar content in your recipes.
